Roma Spider: 620 hp twin-turbo V8 and fabric soft top, the first front-engined Ferrari with a soft roof since 1969.

The Roma is Ferrari's front-engined 2+ grand tourer, designed for everyday use rather than the track. The Spider, unveiled in March 2023, is the open-top version and succeeds the Portofino M. It abandons the retractable hardtop of the California and Portofino for a fabric soft top, a first for a front-engined Ferrari since the 365 GTS/4 Daytona Spider of 1969, fifty-four years earlier.
The engine is the 3,855 cc F154 twin-turbo V8, 620 hp between 5,750 and 7,500 rpm and 760 Nm between 3,000 and 5,750 rpm, paired with the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox from the SF90. Ferrari claims 3.4 s from 0 to 100 km/h, 9.7 s from 0 to 200 km/h and over 320 km/h, for 1,556 kg dry compared to 1,472 kg for the coupé.
The soft top is a specific five-layer fabric, retracted in 13.5 seconds up to 60 km/h, with the closed line echoing the coupé's roof. A wind deflector deploys behind the rear seats while driving, without stopping the car, when those seats are unoccupied. In the range, the Amalfi replaced the Roma coupé on 1 July 2025, with the Spider remaining in production. Black bodywork, brown upholstery.
Production not limited: the Roma Spider has been manufactured since 2023, with the Amalfi replacing the Roma coupé on 1 July 2025.
Ferrari only publishes a dry weight of 1,556 kg for the Roma Spider; as no kerb weight is documented by the manufacturer, the field is left blank rather than mixing two standards.
The Ferrari Genuine Maintenance programme covers seven years from new delivery and is transferable to subsequent owners, linked to the chassis number: its start date can be checked at an official dealership, it is not deduced from the model year. The five-layer fabric roof is the wear point specific to this version; it requires regular full cycles, cleaning without silicone products, and storage with the roof closed.
Taxation: on first French registration of a car imported from abroad, the CO2 penalty follows the scale of the year of first registration. The 2025 scale is at its ceiling, 70,000 EUR, from 193 g/km, and 258 g/km is well above that; only the age-related reduction by monthly bands lowers it (CIBS art. L. 421-7-2). The weight penalty is then capped at zero, as the CO2 penalty already reaches the ceiling (art. L. 421-74).
